Florida vacation 2009

MESSAGE FROM MOM: For some reason, the pictures posted here end up getting partially cut off (must be a size limit or something), so I'm having technical difficulties.

Florida vacation - Day 4

Today we did a lot of relaxing, then headed back to Downtown Disney. We ate at T-Rex Cafe again and this time we had a birthday dessert for me & Bethany, called a Chocolate Extinction. It was enough for all 8 people in our group to share! It's chocolate brownies with caramel in between layers of brownie, vanilla ice cream with caramel and chocolate syrup and whipped cream on top, crushed Butterfingers sprinkled on top, and it comes with a smoking volcano in the middle of the plate:

On day 3 we had lunch at the biggest McDonalds in the world (mom has video but it's not loading for some reason):


Then we went to the Titanic Experience (http://www.titanictheexperience.com/gallery.html), which was AWESOME!




Later that evening, we all played in the pool for a few hours.

While walking through Animal Kingdom at some point in the day, Tyler grabbed Bethany's hand. She's so patient with him and always such a good sport about how enthusiastic he is about being with her! LOL!


Right before we went on Expedition Everest, a CM started a spray bottle battle with Tyler:

Here are more pictures from Day 2 of vacation, still at Disney's Animal Kingdom. In Dino Land we rode a triceratops ride and I could make it go up and down.














This is a ride called Primeval Whirl, it's a roller coaster, and we're going down a hill in this picture. I loved this ride so much, I laughed almost the whole time!















The big mountain in the back of this picture is Expedition Everest. I didn't like that ride very much either. It's a roller coaster, but was very loud when the Yeti was trying to get us. In this picture is Monica, Bethany, Heather, me, mom.

The next day, we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom. It was awesome!

This is a giant tree in the middle of the park called the Tree of Life. It has lots of animals carved all over it and you can go inside it to see a 3-D show with the Bugs from the movie "It's a Bug's Life"!




Mom made sure I wouldn't get too hot and crabby because she brought me a thing to go around my neck called a "cool tie" which was cold and wet, and a spray bottle fan to cool me off. It was fun to spray water all over my face!


We went to part of the park called Dinoland U.S.A. and rode a few rides. This is a giant dinosaur in the park.

There was a ride called Dinosaurs that was way too loud and scary for me, I didn't like it at all and will never go on it again! No pictures from that one though.

We went to the T-Rex Cafe for dinner our first night. It was very, very fun!



The sun and planets were on the ceiling!





This giant jellyfish was hanging over the table next to us!




Mom's friend Monica bought my first pair of Mickey ears! She got mom a purple one with fireworks on the ears.

Message from mom: We've been too busy lately for me to remember to ask Tyler what he'd like me to put on here. So I figured I'd randomly throw something on here that I know Tyler would get a kick out of. We both laugh when we see Oreo acting crazy like this!

Message from mom: Tyler asked me today to add pictures of Oreo here. I guess I should have tried to take a picture of him when he's out of his cage. I'll do that next time.















This video was Tuesday night, after Tyler had gone to bed. I caught Oreo running around in circles, acting crazy, so I just had to grab the camera! He's a funny little critter!

More about Oreo

Oreo is getting more brave. When I held him this morning he gave me a few squeaks. He comes out of his house now to eat even when we're sitting right in front of his cage. He used to be too scared to come out. Oreo poops a lot. My mom will clean his cage today. I will keep him in his carrier when mom is cleaning his cage. The pet store gave us the carrier to bring him home when we bought him.

Oreo is not really a kind of food, he's a guinea pig. And he's very soft, makes a lot of noises, he's really nice. And he likes hay and his treats a lot. Right Oreo? Squeal!

New pet

Message from mom: Today we welcomed a new addition to the family. We went to 3 stores before Tyler found the perfect one. I'm sure Tyler will have something to say about his new pet, so hopefully I'll add his thoughts here soon.

Vacation!

We are going to Disney World soon! Disney World is going to be lots of fun! We are going to play some Star Wars games there too. I am going to dye my hair so it has a Mickey head on it.

Pinewood Derby

Message from mom: Tyler's dad sent me some pictures to share here from the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby in January. The first one is a picture of a few of the cars lined up. Tyler's car is the blue one at the back of the picture. The 2nd picture is of him holding his trophy he won for best design!

We went sledding today, but there wasn't enough snow to really work.

My mom says we might get to go sledding tomorrow! We want to sled one more time. Lots of snow is supposed to come tonight. I hope it snows a lot.

I am having a baby sister that is coming from my stepmom's stomach. She is married to my dad. My stepmom is having a baby girl. Victoria will be her name and her middle name will be Julia. Her nickname will be Tory. I picked her middle name.

My mom and I both got Webkinz. Mine is a german shephard and my mom has a Webkinz too. My mom's is a siamese cat. I made a bedroom for my mom's siamese cat and my german shephard. Mine has ghosts on it. My mom's has hearts and lines and curves.

I got a packet full of smelly things. It comes with your own phone book and your own two pencils and your own two notepads and a pen and a smelly eraser and smelly stickers. They smell like chocolate and the package says Chocolate Treats on it. I picked it out and my mom bought it for me at the book fair at school today.

Karate tournament 3-28-09

Today was my first karate tournament at ATA! First is a video clip of me doing my form. I couldn't remember all of the moves, so a teacher hopped up to lead me.


Next is the sparring part. I'm the one with red gloves, but you can't see much of me because my teacher was in the way of mom's camera.

Karate buddies

This is my friend Cordell. He is 5 years old and his kindergarten teacher is the same one I had last year! We met at karate because he takes the same classes I do.

Karate class - Sept. 2008

I have been taking karate classes for a year at ATA (American Taekwondo Academy). This is me with my favorite karate instructor, Miss Blanks. This picture is a bit old though, because now I'm a camouflage belt, soon to graduate to green the end of April!

This is me with my friend Kierdan at the end of the Raingutter Regatta.

This is a short video of the raingutter regatta in scouts. Click the arrow at the bottom of the picture to play it. Check out how fast my boat was going! My dad helped me make a catamaran and it was a really cool boat! I won first place with my boat in the Tigers. It was lots of fun!

Mom/son dance - March 2009

My mom and I went to a mom/son dance this month and had a pretty good time. I ate lots of cookies and danced with mom a couple times, but spent most of my time with my friend Kierdan from scouts who was there with his mom.

I joined Cub Scouts soon after starting 1st grade and I'm a Tiger this year. I was the top seller in my pack in the popcorn sales we did this past fall! At the pinewood derby a while ago, I won 2nd place in the pack and my car won best design, which I got a cool trophy for!

Here I am! This is my 1st grade picture from Colt Elementary in Lansing. I've moved to a new school though, and mom will add my 1st grade picture from my new school, Winans Elementary, soon.
