Tennessee-July 2009-Part 1

Shortly after our trip to Florida in June 2009, we went to Tennessee that July to visit Mike & family over the 4th of July weekend. On the drive down, we stopped to see Fort Boonesborough, the settlement established by Daniel Boone in Kentucky.

It was pretty cool. There was an actor there dressed as Daniel Boone, completely playing the part, he was a land surveyor and you could go into his cabin and pretend to buy a plot of land from him. He'd show you on a map how to get there and were you might come across indians on the way.

Back on the road again:

This is kind of hard to see because the picture came out so dark, but it's stacks of fireworks to be used on the 4th of July in Mike's back yard:
